Enchantress

I see you enchantress but are you real,

When knowing this love you make me feel,

It seems as though from a dream you tease–

Am I the only one you please?

Do not lay beside me, I am not worthy of your thoughts,

My humanity defiles you with the hunger that it courts,

My eyes demean your being, and all that is so pure

Yet to look away does nothing but fuel my passion evermore.

Enchantress you seeketh me tonight, or is it

I who have chosen you?

And from your heaven do you see a place for me there too?

If you have come to save me, take me, I am yours,

Release me from my severed mind and all that it endures.
